What is Wildcats Weekend?
Wildcats Weekend is a two-day event where 'cats from house and competitive take over the Minto and celebrate this sport we all love! It’s also a chance to cheer on our hockey community, support a worthy cause, and partner with a local business.
This year Wildcats Weekend will take place October 25th (competitive teams) and 26th (house teams).
Schedule of activities for both days

9:00-12:00 Upstairs in Echo room:
- Free professional face painting
- Bracelet making station
- Poster making station
9:00-3:00 - or while quantities last - Main floor concession:
- Baked goods from Take Another Bite in Manotick will be sold with all profits going to The Ottawa Bandits - bring your cash and your cards!
- Selfie photo station
Who are The Ottawa Bandits and why are we partnering with them?
"Hockey is often called Canada’s game. Youth across the country play on community-based teams and dream of the possibility of playing in the NHL someday. For one group of youth however, their opportunities are limited. Children and young adults who live with intellectual developmental disabilities or physical challenges, are never given that moment to dream… until now."
The Ottawa Bandits is a local non-profit organization that gives males and females with physical or intellectual developmental disabilities the opportunity to play hockey. Partnering with them was a no-brainer and we are thrilled to donate all profits from our bake sales to help support their cause! Whether the funds go towards extra ice or to purchasing much needed gear, the NGHA could not be happier to support this important organization.

On Saturday, October 25th at 1:00 in Minto North, players from U18B and The Ottawa Bandits will combine to play a much anticipated exhibition game! Wear your jerseys and come make some noise to support The Bandits!

We encourage players to come early and stay late to cheer on their friends throughout the weekend. Nothing says "I've got your back" more than being up in the stands making some noise!
